Pricing: How much does a 'premium' music license cost?

Within your subscription, you have unlimited use of royalty-free tracks at no additional cost. 

But what about Premium track licenses?

If you are on our 'Creator' Subscription all Premium track licenses start at $8 per track and scale up depending on your average video views. This is based on a traditional sync licensing approach and means that smaller creators never pay superstar prices - making music licensing more accessible to all!

So how does this work? When you sign up to Lickd, you’ll be asked to connect your YouTube channel. This allows us to take an average of the video views from your latest 50 videos.

We are slowing transitioning our subscription plans from 13th August. If you are on our 'Starter', 'Plus' or 'Pro' subscription you will have Premium track credits included within your subscription per month. 1 credit will buy 1 Premium track. 

If you have used all your credits within the month, you can purchase Premium tracks at a one-off fee per track.

The price you pay per Premium license is based on your channels Average Video Views (AVV). See the table below for details on the price you will pay per Premium track based on your channels AVV:

How will I know what my price is for premium licenses? 

When you sign up and connect your YouTube channel, we’ll do the work in the background to calculate the price you’ll pay per track based on your average views. 

You’ll be able to see what your unique price is at any time on your Dashboard or in ‘My Account’.
