Can creators / editors get licenses for their clients?

If you are a creator or editor producing work for someone else, you can use Lickd.

However, it is important to note that all music licenses must be purchased using a Lickd account linked to the same YouTube channel as the video will be posted.

For example, you cannot order a license linked to a particular channel (e.g. your own) and then publish the music / video on a separate channel (e.g. your client's), as licenses are not transferrable.

In summary:

  • If you as the creator / editor have access to your client's YouTube channel, you can create a Lickd account in their name and license music for use on their channel.
  • If not, someone who does have access to the channel will need to create a Lickd account linked to their channel, purchase the license and provide the music and license information to you.
