First of all, you'll need to have a YouTube channel in order to sign up and get a license from us. All pricing is based on your YouTube channel numbers.
Once you have an account, you can start searching for tracks and filter specifically for licenses which can be used on Facebook. Here's a direct link to search with the Facebook filter already applied.
Please Note: not all tracks can be licensed for use on all platforms. For example, a song may be allowed on YouTube and Facebook, but not on Twitter.
Make sure to read the 'Allowed Platforms' section of your EULA (End User License Agreement) to ensure it covers Facebook. This can be found once you've added a track to your basket (before purchase) by clicking the 'License Agreement' button.
How to use your Lickd music license
Having purchased and downloaded your track, simply follow this step-by-step guide and you’ll be on your way to a great sounding video!
1. Get Creative
Edit your video as normal, and simply drop the downloaded song into your timeline.
2. Add the Music Attribution to your video description
Be sure to include the Lickd music attribution text in your video description. This lets us prevent a claim being made against your video.
The music attribution text is unique for every track and will be emailed to you when you purchase the license. It can also be found by logging-in to your Lickd account and visiting your My Account > Licenses section.
3. Upload to Facebook
And away you go! It's as easy as that!!
What to do if you receive a copyright claim?
Unfortunately, at the moment only YouTube has an integrated copyright claims tool (Content ID) where Lickd can clear any claims on your behalf.
As a result, if you do receive a copyright claim from Facebook you'll need to follow their Appeal / Dispute process. Your EULA (End User License Agreement) purchased from Lickd will provide proof of your legitimate licensing of this song. This can be found by logging in to your Lickd account and visiting your My Account > Licenses section.
Following the Facebook appeal process should remove any copyright claims, but please contact us if you have any questions. You can do this by using the "Contact Us" link in the top right-hand corner of this page.
