What to expect from claims support over the holidays and how to ensure your videos are cleared.
Automatic claims clearance over Christmas
The majority of our claims are cleared automatically within 30 minutes by our claims clearance software, VOUCH and this will be operating as normal over Christmas between 25th December, 2024 - 2nd January, 2025.
In order for VOUCH to clear the claim, you must upload the video as ‘Unlisted’, please see here for a breakdown of how to accurately upload your video with a Lickd license.
Claims Managed over Christmas
All Universal Management Group (UMG) licenses are ‘claims managed’, which means that a member from UMG manually reviews the claims. Some other claims can occasionally also require manual clearance from our team.
Claims-managed tracks will take longer to clear than you're used to over the Christmas period due to closures across the music industry.
We are not able to manually release claims between:
24th - 26th December, 2024
31st December, 2024 - 1st January, 2025
Any UMG claims may take up to 48 hours to be released from the 20th December, 2024 - 6th January, 2025
What to do if you’re planning to upload over Christmas
If you’re planning to upload a video between 24th - 26th December, 2024 we recommend where possible uploading the video as unlisted by the 23rd December, 2024. This will allow any claims to be cleared ahead of time and prevent any delays to your upload schedule.
If you are intending to upload between 31st December, 2024 - 1st January, 2025 we recommend getting the video uploaded as ‘Unlisted’ by 30th December, 2024.
